The journey from Chiang Mai to Sukhothai passes through the beautiful lowland valleys of northern Thailand, linking the former Lanna capital with the first capital of the Thai kingdom. Both cities are UNESCO World Heritage sites, making this one of Thailand's most culturally rich travel corridors.
